Average Course-load:

Courses:

Students typically enroll in 12 to 15 credits per semester. Approval from both the program coordinators and your home university is required for any course load exceeding 15 credits. Summer students can enroll in up to 6 credits for a 6-week program or 12 credits for a 12-week program.

At each institution, a wide variety of courses are available, allowing students to choose from fields such as:

Communications and Media Studies
Science and Health

Course offerings vary by institution, and Semester Abroad Co. advisors will work closely with you to ensure that your courses meet transfer requirements and align with your home university's academic policies. The academic programs at these universities follow the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), which Semester Abroad Co. converts into U.S. credits for easy transfer.

Student Apartments

Students are housed in fully furnished, modern apartments throughout central Dublin. Housing is typically within a 20-30 minute commute to university campuses, either by walking or public transport.

Apartments include amenities such as Wi-Fi, study areas, laundry facilities, and shared kitchen spaces. Room types range from single to shared occupancy, and requests for mutual roommates are accommodated whenever possible (single rooms may incur an additional fee).

Prior to departure

Prior to leaving for Dublin, our study abroad advisors will provide you with detailed housing information, including photos, potential roommate lists, and clear instructions for arrival. This support ensures a smooth transition to life in Ireland.

GPA Requirement: 3.0

Good Standing: Students must be in good academic standing at their home university.

Course Requirements: Most courses are open to undergraduate students, but some may have prerequisites. Students are responsible for obtaining course approval from their home university prior to enrollment. Our study abroad advisors will help you understand your course options and ensure that all credits transfer smoothly back to your home university.

9-week Summer Program Fee: $11,173*
Fall 2025 Program Fee: $21,937*

*The program fee covers tuition, housing, and Semester Abroad Co.’s services and are subject to change. All fee changes will be communicated prior to acceptance. Program fees are based on a standard course load; additional fees may apply if students exceed the standard number of credits.

No application fee is required, but a hold deposit is necessary to confirm your spot. This deposit varies by program length and is non-refundable. It will be applied toward the overall program fee.
